| Katie grew up in Ireland in an equestrian family, riding green ponies, field hunters, young jumpers, and galloping race horses. Over the years Katie had success in local and national horse shows. It was not until age 16 that she won a class at the Dublin International Horse Show, and her catch-riding career took off until she graduated high school and moved to England to continue her training. From there, she rode and competed in the Channel Islands and South Africa. After moving to Houston, she started Irish Day Farm. Although her first love was the jumpers, she decided to try her hand at the hunters. She and her husband Hans imported a 5-year-old Dutch Warmblood and named him "Prince Charming." She showed him in pre-greens through Regular Working Hunters, winning many championships throughout the nation. Prince Charming received a lifetime achievement award at Capital Challenge at age 18. Her love of training for both horse and rider is evidenced by the many year-end state, zone, and national awards.

Morgan began her riding career in Louisiana, but soon moved to Houston, and began riding and showing with Irish Day Farm, earning a National Reserve Championship in the Children's Jumpers at Capital Challenge. After graduation, Morgan worked for various top professionals around the country before returning to Irish Day Farm to work for Katie Lambert Boone. As assistant trainer, Morgan is the "glue" that holds IDF's show world together, riding and showing horses for clients and teaching lessons to new up-and-coming riders.
